Has anyone tried to implement Shape Up outside of a product context?

I’m in operations in a professional services context but very interested in product management concepts. Does anyone have success implementing the fundamentals of Shape Up for more traditional project work. Say for instance an HR team wanted to implement a new HRIS, or wanted to build a mentorship program. What if we wanted to overhaul our comp plans and restructure bonuses.

Based on my reading a lot of the core concepts could really work but I’m wondering if anyone has successfully done it and has some case studies, lessons learned to share. Thanks!
